Don't know you, but just read your comment on ssb and couldnt agree more. FHE, Buying from your friends MLMs, and a host of over the things are not THE GOSPEL, and I wish we as Mormons would get back to that. But all the other stuff sure is funny sometimes:)
'Schump', I just read your comments on SSB. I take your point that putting energy into a blog or blogs that uses the periphery of Mormon culture for a laugh is energy that might be better spent elsewhere. I also agree that there isn't enough good Mormon writing in novels/screenplays/stageplays to do justice to the talent among members of the Church. But I think SSB and WML are quite useful not only for a laugh, but to show others that we as members of the LDS Church CAN have a laugh. SSB is not using actual, inspired LDS doctrine as her material; I find her posts funny without feeling offended. Quite frequently I think we run the risk of taking ourselves too seriously. I hope to read more of your thoughts on this blog, and I will also keep up with SSB. I think somewhere in the middle might be the right place.
